A live DJ plugin for Final Fantasy XIV

Two decks. One crossfader.
A whole server listening.

EchoMix turns your character into a real DJ booth: mix two decks with a crossfader, EQ, and filters, then broadcast the set live to anyone nearby or clear across the data center. Every connection runs through EchoMix's own relay, so no one ever sees anyone else's IP address.

SIGNAL · LIVE
The EchoMix DJ Deck: two decks with waveform visualizers, EQ and filter knobs, a crossfader, sound pads, and live playlists for each deck.

What's inside

Everything a real set needs. Everything a real audience hears.

The Booth

What you control.

Two-deck mixer

A crossfader, gain staging, and a 3-band EQ plus filter on every channel, mixed the way a real booth would be.

Auto-advancing playlists

Queue up a set and each deck rolls straight into the next track the moment the last one ends.

Sound pads

Drops, stingers, and one-shots fired off live without ever breaking the mix.

Minimize mode

Shrink the whole deck down to a small draggable visualizer when you need your screen back.

The Floor

What they hear.

Proximity Audio

Volume actually falls off with distance from your character. Walk off the floor, and the music fades with you.

Global Audio

Or skip distance entirely, for when the whole point is that everyone hears it, no matter where they're standing.

Password-protected rooms

A short shareable code and a password of your choosing. Up to a hundred listeners a show.

Automatic reconnect

A rough patch of connection doesn't end the show. Listeners quietly reconnect on their own.

The part that matters

Nobody learns anyone's IP address. That's the whole design.

Every connection in EchoMix, yours and every listener's, only ever runs outward to EchoMix's own relay. Nobody ever connects directly to anybody else, so there's no direct connection for an address to leak through in the first place. The relay only ever passes along encrypted, already-compressed audio: it never touches your files, your playlists, or who you are.

Three ways to play

However big the crowd is, you're the one behind the decks.

VENUE

Run the club.

Host a real set at your FC's club, a roleplay venue, or an in-game event. Proximity Audio means people actually have to be on the floor to hear you, just like a real booth.

LISTEN PARTY

Bring the friends.

Spin for a small private group from anywhere in the world. Password-protected, no venue required, and nobody needs to be standing anywhere near you.

SOLO PLAY

Just for you.

Skip broadcasting entirely. Two decks, a crossfader, and your own library: a personal music player built for actually playing the game.

Getting started

You're three steps from the booth.

1

Open Dalamud settings

In-game, run /xlsettings and open the Experimental tab.

2

Add the repository

Paste this into Custom Plugin Repositories and save:

https://raw.githubusercontent.com/jfraygit/EchoMix-Repo/main/pluginmaster.json
3

Install EchoMix

Open the Plugin Installer and search for EchoMix. It's not on Dalamud's official list, so look for it under All Plugins rather than the curated one.

Updates are delivered the same way: Dalamud checks the repository automatically, so you'll always be offered the latest version.
